I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. After winning a bursary to study drama, I headed to Tswane University of Technology for a wild and turbulent tuition. 

 

After joining Thespians Talent Agency, I officially entered the professional acting industry in South Africa. Launched into the limelight, my first job was dressed as a giant bunny suit, educating children about dental health. No, really.

 

I remember being sent out to a large stadium in the middle of summer, being pushed out of an unmarked van onto a giant soccer field to entertain children for an hour. It started well enough, but after about ten minutes, the kids proceeded to kick and punch me. There is just something about seeing something oversized and fluffy that brings out the best in humans. No wait -- make that the beast in humans. Luckily, I survived and have managed to have a diverse and interesting career.
